Some simple solutions to achieve a Green Bathroom

Here are some very simple solutions to achieve a clean and green bathrooms at home. These are some simple tips that I could think of :
  • Buy eco-friendly cleaning products which have natural ingredients.
  • Take shorter cooler showers to conserve hot water - you can conserve water too.
  • Don’t leave the water running while brushing your teeth or washing your face or while shaving.
  • Get a low-flow shower head to save water usage - high ones waste a lot of water, hand showers are most recommended.
  • Put CFL light bulbs in the bathroom - they provide more brighter light and are also energy conserving.
  • Use orange peels, mint leaves or natural herbs as air freshners, instead of aerosol ones.
  • Put live green plants in the bath near a window to take in any air pollution and give off fresh oxygen.
  • Wash your hands with natural soaps.
  • Collect rainwater for washing hair in a clean barrel outside.
  • Turn water heater off at night and on one hour earlier before it is needed in the morning.
  • Use a egg timer in the shower and limit yourself to 2 minutes if you can.
If you have more suggestions do let me know that we can ponder on.

All the very Best Students!!

Yesterday there was a lot of hype in the news channels and other sections of the media that the dreaded LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran has been killed by the advancing Sri Lankan Army. There were even debates on Indian News Channels whether he was killed by the Sri Lankan Army or if he had committed suicide.

But lo and behold, we have fresh confirmed news from the PTI (Press Trust of India) that there have been reports emanating that Velupillai Prabhakaran is still very much alive. It has based it's report on a pro-LTTE website called www.tamilnet.com which has come out today with a claim that the Tamil Tiger supremo and leader Velupillai Prabhakaran is still "alive and safe", this is just a day after the Sri Lankan army announced that it has killed Prabhakaran. The website is currently working on full load as millions of people are accessing it to grab the latest news. The news has been published a few hours ago.

Now that gets very interesting to watch out! Many people who have been closely following LTTE for the last few years thought of the same that Prabhakaran must have easily escaped to any of the supporters worldwide.

To add more credibility to this report, the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa addressed the Parliament and the people of Sri Lanka today and said that Sri Lanka has been liberated from terrorism. But, interestingly he never mentioned that Prabhakaran was killed in his entire speech. Rajapaksa also said that for the first time in 30 years Sri Lanka is unified, following the government's defeat of the Tamil Tiger rebels.

I am very sure that we will have another case of Subash Chandra Bose that some Indians feel is very much alive and some feel he is dead. So, looks like the legacy of Velupillai Prabhakaran will continue!!

All about Dolls!!

There are a lot of dolls in the market nowadays - but how do you choose the perfect one as the gift you would like to give to your loved one. Most dools in large shops are pretty expensive and also come with a lot of unwanted packing.

Also, there is a scare nowadays in the market for the dolls made in China - since most of them have been tested positive for hazardous chemicals. So, it is always wise to check twice before you purchase a doll. There are many specialized outlets like NetPinky.com which have very high quality dolls that have passed many stringent quality tests.

There are nowadays a lot of products in the market that contain silicone derivatives like frizz which is very harmful. But do try a very little of such products to clean your doll and DONOT USE A HAIR DRYER AT ALL as it just fries your dolls hair. Also, you may have to try always to trim it a bit after the treatment to get rid of really damaged ends to make it really able to be combed , but treat first and then trim gently to renew and keep from retangling. It will hinge on how bad the damage has become.
